The Zhongshan Zhenjiashan Sewage Treatment Plant (Phase II) project was put into operation on October 10.

Zhenjiashan Sewage Treatment Plant is located in Haosi Village, Torch Development Zone. It covers an area of about 10 hectares. The second phase has a sewage treatment capacity of 100,000 m3/day, the same as the first phase.

Currently, the sewage treatment plant serves a total area of 34.1 km2 covering the western and southern part of the Shiqi River area, East District area, Changmingshui area, Kaiyin area and the western part of Torch Development Zone.

The Phase II project costs about 490 million yuan, with a land area of about 70 mu and a building area of about 18,613 square meters.
