As the first of this kind in Zhongshan, Daoxiangwei has become a pilot project of green and circular development of the fishery industry.

Daoxiangwei has an aquiculture area of 2,000 mu mainly for the breeding of crisped grass carp, crispy tilapia and shrimp. Its first treated water management project covers 684 mu of ponds.

"After renovation, the ponds' effective depth has been deepened to more than 2.5 meters, and the output per mu has increased from about 2,000 kg to about 3,500 kg", said Liang Yiwen.
